Approximately 4,000 people filled the Palace Hall on Wednesday evening for the International Ballet Gala “Balanchine’s Legacy”, an exceptional cultural event dedicated exclusively to the creations of George Balanchine, one of the most influential choreographers of the 20th century. The program, composed entirely of Balanchine’s choreographies and presented with the rigor and fidelity required by The George Balanchine Trust, marked an absolute premiere for our country.
