Distribuție Energie Electrică România (DEER), Brașov branch, has completed a major investment to modernize the electricity distribution infrastructure in the city of Săcele.
This project, valued at over RON 17 million, included:
• Upgrading low-voltage power networks over a distance of more than 23 kilometers;
• Installing a concrete-encased transformer substation;
• Mounting over 120 fully equipped distribution and metering boxes;
• Upgrading single-phase and three-phase connections.
The work involved transitioning from overhead power lines (LEA – medium and low voltage) to underground cables (LES – medium and low voltage), replacing outdated paper-insulated cables with modern cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulated cables, and upgrading connections to ensure improved safety and reliability.
