Family holidays with the help of DOUGLAS and Hope and Homes for Children

DOUGLAS Romania continues to support vulnerable families this year through the Child Separation Prevention Program, developed by Hope and Homes for Children. The aim of the campaign is to help parents, through financial support, to improve the living conditions of their families, thus being able to keep their children with them and raise them safely.

For each Douglas Collection Star Makeup Palette and Douglas Collection Advent Calendar Beauty set sold between December 1^st and December 31^st Douglas will donate 10 lei to Hope and Homes for Children, within the limit of 50,000 lei. This campaign starts today, December 1^st, and will run until the end of the month, both in the online store, douglas.ro, and in the more than 40 physical magazines of companies all over the country.

“Together with our partners from Hope and Homes for Children, for the second consecutive year, through the Feel the Magic campaign, we support children to stay with their families, both during the holidays and every day. A child’s place is with his family, where he is cared for, but above all loved and supported, and where he can develop physically and emotionally healthy” said Lavinia Ivas, DOUGLAS Romania CEO.

“We want to bring light and joy on the faces of children and parents now for the holidays, but also for all the days they will spend together“, added Lavinia.

“Regardless of the hardship that children living in conditions of extreme poverty feel every day, they have the sincere feeling of parental love at home. In the family, they discover a haven of safety and peace. We, Hope and Homes for Children, make sure that these children are well in the most precious place for them – Home. Together with our charity partners, who share the same mission as us, we are actively involved in supporting families in difficult life situations. We aim to offer them the resources and support they need to rebuild their lives, thus preventing the breakup of families and avoiding the traumatic experiences of institutionalization and living in an orphanage“, says Robert Ion, General Director of Hope and Homes for Children Romania .

With this help, 10 children will not end up in placement centers but will stay with their families, safely, with financial and material support to help parents recover and be able to care for and protect their children at home, where they belong. This action is part of the local social responsibility strategy of DOUGLAS which aims to support the development of the community and especially the development of a healthy social and family environment.
