Widely regarded as the greatest chess player of all time, Garry Kasparov will return to Bucharest to attend the official opening ceremony of the Romanian leg of the Grand Chess Tour 2025, set to take place on May 6 at the Grand Hotel Bucharest, Sala Ronda. Held under the banner “Uniting Minds,” the event will celebrate chess not only as a sport of intellect, but as a universal language of cooperation and shared values that bring people and cultures together.
