Giles Portman, British Ambassador to Romania: “ This weekend, I ran the Bucharest 10k for the amazing HOSPICE Casa Sperantei, a Romanian NGO with British roots, which offers free-of-charge palliative care services for incurable patients with life-limited diagnostics. Together with over 1,000 people running just for #TeamHOSPICE, we supported its newest project – building #SpitalulSperanței, a hospital dedicated to pediatric palliative care. In Romania, there are over 22,000 children suffering from incurable and life-limiting illnesses – and only 40 palliative care beds available for them. So it’s a great cause to support.
