“Horror Vacui” – A lesson in cultural resilience, successfully completed after 168 hours of continuous theater

The performance awaits Guinness World Records certification for the longest theatrical event in the world.

“Horror Vacui,” the longest theatrical event in the world, concluded last week in Bucharest. After seven days of non-stop marathon, this durational theater performance brought together over 500 actors, writers, and journalists who performed numerous texts about abandonment and its opposite. The project aims to highlight one of the most important issues in today’s society, abandonment, in its various forms, with a particular focus on the colossal scale of child abandonment in Romania over the past 50 years.
