National Bank of Romania’s foreign exchange reserves stood at EUR 63,225 million, compared to EUR 58,281 million on 30 June 2025

On 31 July 2025, the National Bank of Romania’s foreign exchange reserves stood at EUR 63,225 million, compared to EUR 58,281 million on 30 June 2025.

During the month, the following flows were recorded:

• EUR 6,735 million worth of inflows representing: changes in credit institutions’ foreign currency-denominated required reserves with the NBR; inflows into the Ministry of Finance’s accounts (including the amounts from the Ministry of Finance’s Eurobond issues with a nominal value of EUR 1,500 million and USD-denominated Eurobonds with a nominal value of approximately EUR 3,210 million) and other;
• EUR 1,791 million worth of outflows representing: changes in credit institutions’ foreign currency-denominated required reserves with the NBR; interest payments and principal repayments on foreign currency public debt; payments from the European Commission’s account and other.
