Over 35 tonnes of e-waste collected by students through Romania’s longest-running and largest environmental education programme

Children and teenagers from 260 kindergartens, primary and secondary schools across Romania collected more than 35,000 kilograms of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) this year as part of “Baterel, the Recycling Hero”, Romania’s longest-running and largest environmental education programme. The initiative is organised by the Environ Association with the support of the Ministry of Education and Research and the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests.
