Ladies and gentlemen,

Distinguished guests,

I am honored to participate in this celebration of the United States and its many friends, who are here in great numbers every year, as well as those who could not join us today. I am here to say, with great respect, that for 250 years, this great nation has exercised a profound influence on the world through the strength of its economy, its capacity for innovation, and the power of its armed forces.
