REHAU opens its logistics centre in Sibiu County following 10-million-euro investment

REHAU Window Solutions has inaugurated today its logistics centre in Cisnadie, Sibiu County. The investment for the new facility amounts to 10 million euro, with 63 new jobs created.

REHAU Window Solutions products will leave Sibiu towards the whole country of Romania, as well as for the nearby Southeast Middle-European countries such as the Republic of Moldova, Bulgaria, or Greece. 

“The initiative of the investment in Cisnadie is another step taken by the Window Solutions division towards increasing our partners’ competitiveness and the division’s capacity on local markets all over the world. It also pushes our global strategy of expansion and proximity to partners and customers in the respective markets.

Moreover, the Logistics Centre in Sibiu County paves the way for us to become a system supplier, building an ecosystem around windows and beyond, being an important step in achieving REHAU’s strategic goals.

The 52,900 metre Logistics Centre accommodates a modern warehouse and a wrapping line for the REHAU Window Solutions division, putting Romania on the map of REHAU Window Solutions factories internationally.

The existence of the packaging line is an additional advantage, as this capacity increases the value of the division’s services on the domestic and regional market and proves to our partners and customers that REHAU Window Solutions is a reliable solutions provider, investing in the development of the market,” said Paul Chipriean, Director Window Solutions REHAU Romania.

“The opening of the REHAU Window Solutions Logistics Centre in Cisnadie marks an important moment for local offices, as it puts Romania on the map of REHAU’s strategic investments. Romania has always been an important market, but now is even more in focus and wins additional importance.  Moreover, the new facility also has a great impact in the community, mainly because it has created new jobs, but also because of the community-oriented projects that REHAU has already started in Sibiu County.

REHAU has a history of 27 years in Romania and currently has 132 employees nationwide. The company’s turnover was around 50 million euros in 2021.
