The National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority announced on Monday a new achievement with the official recognition of the Romanian food safety testing laboratory by the Indonesian Quarantine Authority. This allows Romania to export food of fresh plant origin products (FFPO), especially wheat, to this emerging market.
With this recognition, the Bucharest Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Laboratory is authorized to carry out official analyses for the determination of pesticide residues and other contaminants in fresh plant food products (FFPO) intended for export to Indonesia.
„This approval is the result of a sustained effort of institutional collaboration, high quality standards and continuous dialog with international partners,” said Alexandru Bociu, President of ANSVSA.
