Romania’s First Anime Pop-Up Restaurant Opens on Calea Victoriei

Bucharest Becomes a Destination for Anime Fans: Cosplayers, Ramen, Official Merchandise and a Naruto Shippuden-Inspired Setting

Anime enthusiasts will have their very own gathering place in the heart of Bucharest this summer.

From 19 June to 19 July 2026, Romania’s first officially licensed Naruto Shippuden Pop-Up Restaurant will open its doors, bringing the world of one of the most beloved anime series to life.

Hosted by Japanos Athenaeum (118 Calea Victoriei, Bucharest), the venue will be completely transformed into a Naruto-inspired universe. Following its official launch on 19 June, visitors will have the opportunity to explore themed décor, a bar recreated in the spirit of the series, dedicated photo areas, official Naruto merchandise and a menu inspired by the world of the iconic character who has captivated generations of fans.
