The Competition Council approved the transaction by which MB Beteiligungs GmbH intends to take over the companies Plantextrakt SRL and Plantmed SRL.
MB Beteiligungs GmbH is a German holding company, member of the ‘Nature Network’ group, active in the development, refining and blending of all types of tea.
Plantextrakt is engaged in the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products. In 2023, Plantextrakt took over Plantmed, which wholesales pharmaceutical products.
Following the analysis, the Competition Council found that this operation does not significantly impede effective competition on the Romanian market or on part of it and that there are no serious doubts as to its compatibility with a normal competitive environment.
The decision will be published on the website of the national competition authority, once the confidential information has been removed.
