From 2 to 4 April 2025, the preparatory event for the Wachau x Erasmus+ European Forum took place in Bucharest and Brasov, Romania, focusing on European values, intercultural dialogue and the civic engagement of young people.
The event was organised by the Smart City Association for the Wachau Europa Forum and brought together over 50 young students and professionals from 13 European countries. They debated and exchanged ideas on topics that are essential for the future of Europe.
On 2 April, the young people were received by H.E. Ulla Krauss-Nussbaumer, Austria’s Ambassador to Romania, at her residence in Bucharest and, after the reception, they visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where they had a discussion with Ms Clara Staicu, State Secretary for European Affairs
On the second and third day, debates on the following topics took place at the BCR Zbor HUB in Brasov:
