Third Conference on Ottoman Archaeology in Romania Held in Iași with TIKA’s Support
The third international conference on Ottoman archaeological heritage in Romania was organized in Iași on June 5–6, 2026, with contributions from TIKA.
The conference, held at the Turkish Bath of Iași and Alexandru Ioan Cuza University with the participation of 17 experts from Romania, Turkey, and Egypt, once again demonstrated the growing academic interest in Ottoman heritage in the region.
Organized with the support of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, in collaboration with the Center for Turkish Studies at the University of Bucharest, the “Vasile Pârvan” Institute of Archaeology in Bucharest, and the Faculty of History at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, the opening remarks were delivered by Assoc.
