At the reception marking the 250th anniversary of U.S. Independence, U.S. Ambassador to Romania Darryl Nirenberg delivered a speech highlighting the enduring values of freedom, democracy and the rule of law, while reaffirming the strength of the U.S.-Romania Strategic Partnership. Addressing Romanian leaders, diplomats and guests, Ambassador Nirenberg praised Romania’s commitment to transatlantic values, noting that Romanians “know the value of freedom and the cost of communism,” and called for continued unity in defending liberty for future generations.
